We have arsenals within us,
not of guns and
bombs,
but, of ill will, impatience and anger
Dismantling the weapons
is an effective way
to curb war
than confronting
it head on.
This sun-bird of the heart
Looks for ways to be heard…
eventually causes the mind
to breathe peace...
Connect
Connect with yourself
let the peaceful warrior
rush to comfort your soul.
Life becomes a lot easier....

Beautiful lines, Panchali ❤️
How clearly you describe the war within. At times I flush with anger and impatience (though never with ill will). and I wrestle with them. I must ask for the sunbird's help. I pray everyone does.
ReplyDeleteWonderful especially love the second stanza. Let us all be peaceful warriors!!
ReplyDeleteI love the whole idea of freeing the sun-bird of the heart! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely thoughts. I hope we all release that sun-bird.
ReplyDeleteListen and we may hear the sun-birds. They are truly singing, (War will soon be a thing of a past)
ReplyDelete"We have arsenals within us," True, true, so very true. May the sun-bird within rise and sing. Love these beautiful imagery of arsenal and sun-bird. The poem is a beauty Panchali di.
ReplyDelete"...let the peaceful warrior rush to comfort your soul." I like this concept very much, Panchali!
ReplyDeleteHow rich and contented we could be if we did not spend countless millions on weapons of war and harm.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful poem of self reflection - long may peace stay within
ReplyDeleteMay we curb the arsenals within and put love and kindness into the world, so that it comes back into our own.
ReplyDeleteWell said, Panchali. We all need to find the peace in ourselves.
ReplyDeletewe become phoenix sometime we find inner peace only from our ashes...
