What is it that
makes
the relationship
between
you and me…
Continuous
And overwhelming?
Between the lips
and the voice
Something circumambulates
and lends a cadence
I believe in open relationships.
I believe in open relationships.
… it is
realistic… honest and practical
Seeing is
believing
I say, it is about listening too
The energy
spreads as we sit down
in a garden with
creepers
of white jasmine.
Our heartbeats
speak more than words…

sweet take on the prompt and wise too....
ReplyDeleteThat jasmine smells very refreshing - sometimes we need to go outside and get some air so we don't circumambulate too much (great word;)
ReplyDeleteElectricity? Or chemistry? Both work.
ReplyDeleteYou weave your words and feelings so expertly. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteOh, those closing lines, the white jasmine and "Our heartbeats speak more than words". How romantic!
ReplyDeleteYes, heartbeats do speak the loudest...we have to listen to them as much as we listen to the words.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet rendition :D
ReplyDeleteWhether this is about two who meet beneath the bower, about the speaker and the flowers, or about the lips and the voice, the images compel me to trust the heartbeats and the openness of the relationship.
ReplyDeleteWow! Romantic....
ReplyDeleteThe energy with white jasmine creepers certainly makes the words superfluous..the heartbeats say it all!
ReplyDeleteI loved your poem, Panchali:)
Our heartbeats speak more than words…...very powerful line. Loved the poem Panchali
ReplyDeleteI love the last stanza in particular.
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful in a jasmine bower... the most heady scent of all surely!
