Ambiance~

Still flowers

I sit up In the middle of the night
With thoughts raveling around me
I take out a pad and pen,
O’, that’s supposedly my favorite pen
—the one that just slides across the paper
Wisps of syllables,
             patch of colors,
Squares of windows
       un-light …braid into my thoughts
I try to listen to the immense night
The moon glows,
the figures, the sounds, the ways of reason
             start disintegrating…disentangle
A squid-blue darkness seeps –
         -touches each detail
From far away, the sea sounds …
                …break into rubble of noise
I ignore the noises until it recedes
             Start writing a poem

Use the words so well. Inspite of the noises you sit down to write a poem.
