In this sunset of life
Often, I ramble in memories
Time, light and space
sing together
Vibrating a spell of
charm around me…
The melodies dance in harmony…glimpsing
Continuity in the flow
of the clock.
The complete understanding
heads to the randomness of life's events.
Incognito, when I walk
into this
‘museum of memories’…
Lo! What a wonderful
experience it is!
What’s drowned in all my
memory bank
Is finally …
My family, friends and my accomplishments…
Life’s daily a visit
to a museum.
It has maps to show
the way we were
and who we were and where;
I see what I was and
what I’ve become.
My thoughts keep circling inadvertently.

I wrote in a similar vein, Panchali.......our memory museums are rich storehouses of treasure!
ReplyDeleteI so much relate to a memory museum. I too visit visit mine daily and find some lessons, much pleasure and some fulfillment.
ReplyDeleteWe should all be blessed with "the melodies danc(ing) in harmony" and be able to say,"Lo! What a wonderful experience it is!" Sadly, it's not the case for everone.
ReplyDeleteThis captures the acceptance and rapture well, though. Well done!
" Time, light and space sing together
ReplyDeleteVibrating a spell of charm around me…" How wonderful! May it ever be so!
I so enjoyed your museum of memories, and love the lines:

ReplyDeleteMemory museum is a treasure trove indeed! "I see what I was and what I’ve become." Yes, our journey is captivated here too. So beautifully written, Panchali di.

It is a museum no doubt but cannot be called in all cases a treasure trove. Many good, some bad and one or two possibly ugly, this museum stores memories of all kinds.
ReplyDeleteI liked the way you depicted the thought.
