Best Man-My Dad!!

Growing up is fascinating, especially when you have someone to look up to….
As I dig from my memory’s vault
--chronicles glide by
Delights of a happy past
gush forth like a frothing river
-warm, intoxicated memories!

Dear Baba was a loving soul
He formed a firm foundation for my life
Reached out, when I needed him most as a child
His style of working, storytelling, care taking,
stand like graffiti ...
           .....from where I fetch inspirations,
Soundlessly,
a scarlet light still burns inside me
Intuitively,
I place my hand on the cheeks.
I see they are still wet...

A gentle father lived his life…and left
             ---traveled the eternal...
whatever is now deposited as memory's GOLD
Gives meaning to my existence
Not extinction-but fullness

**Baba- Father. There are many more things I could tell about my beloved Dad.  Simply put, he is the best man I have ever known.

  6. It is a most amazing gift, to have had a father like him, Panchali. It sets up a little girl's life so well, so that she knows she deserves to be treated as well as her father treated her. In our family we have been short of father figures. But my grandpa and my uncles were such good men, thankfully.
