Like
ships
….line a shore in my world
Dear
God...
I see you merging
In
the magnitude of the sky
You dwell in its infinity…
The catabolism of colors
Is your dance with the clouds
You reside in the breeze...
Drifting jasmines give an insight…
There are moments….
When
I hear you--
in the thundering clouds
in the
patter of raindrops
in the songs of the bird
in every force of nature…
Between
the moment and the next
I see you -- just like cracks of light
in the long doorways
in the moonbeams
in the
field of Sunflowers
you've been walking through
I
feel your presence
EVERYWHERE!
You are always
On the horizon~
glittering.
PS-How
perfect is God? How perfect, when the world is in such a mess? Today’s poem is
my response to this question. I want to be honest about my feelings, and this
is what I really think about God. Though I'm sure there are atheists who will
debate a few of the issues listed.

this is beautiful...we are not much different...love the last two stanzas...god is everywhere if you are willing to look....smiles....and dont give up on the atheist...i have many as friends...smiles
ReplyDeleteGlad you agree with me, Brian....Hmm, these are some thoughts of my mind, The purpose of this poem is to make one think, to reconsider a few things, take another look at your God through a new lens ...
DeleteGracias!
You have captured the essence of God here, Panchali. God is everywhere -- if we only keep our eyes open and reflect on the beauty and mystery of this wonderful world. I like the last stanza already - the idea of God being on the horizon, glittering.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary! We all have something for which we feel that way, don’t we Mary? To feel him is ...Pure magic… unadulterated joy! :D
DeleteI like the depth of your poem, Panchali. You started and ended it in most beautiful and truthful ways.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you read this…Gabriella. The vast sky kinda squint my eyes because of His pureness, immaculacy. So, I believe, God is def sitting up there!! Praises from a brilliant poet like you, is a huge compliment . I am humbled ...:)
DeleteThere are moments….

This is most true Panchali. One can hear and feel presence of the alMighty if only one cares. Those who hear and may not even care are the ones who lose out. Great write!
Hank
Thank you for the support and endorsement, Hank. If God is not real, I wonder, what in life is??? Yes, I feel pity for the people with spiritual blindness...One day, I am sure, they'll feel Him. I am so sure!
DeleteI am so pleased you like the direction this poem has taken. Thanks a ton!
God is everywhere. The perfection of his creations are a testament to his wonder.
ReplyDeleteThose who cannot see this are as Hank says disadvantaged. Maybe God gives eyes to some and not to others or maybe they do not want to see.
Absolutely...rallentanda! The whole point of the poem is to give the reader this awareness...God works in us and silently makes the 'disadvantaged' realize His presence. His existence teaches us, convicts us, encourages us, and guides us — so He is everywhere!! Their loss if they don’t know it. :D Many thanks!!
Deleteyeah and i also believe God is everywhere and everything too...good, bad and beyond both...glad to see you here Panchalidi.. :)
ReplyDeleteFeel good to be here, Sumana. Everything that has happened in my life – the good, the better and the best, has been the fringe benefits of realizing that God is the real force pulsating within my life. This belief keeps me ticking...Thanks a lot for being here :)
Deletebeautiful. i do find god in nature.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nataša!! Your comment delights me on more ways than one...!! When I fold my hands in prayer, He hugs me so intimately that I forget where He IS ...Certainly, He is everywhere!!.
DeleteThis is very beautiful, Panchali, a strong spirit of faith. God is beautiful everywhere....it is man who creates the discord. It is good to remember that God is in all the beauty that surrounds us.
ReplyDeleteMy God is real, Sherry. If He wasn't, then who had created this universe and who took such great care of everything..?? If God is not real, what in life is, I wonder...? God is indeed beautiful ....everywhere!! I am very happy you liked this poem. Thanks a bunch!
DeleteThat is one exhilarating poem that lifted my spirit high early in the morning.i,
ReplyDeleteYou have magic in your words,Panchali ji!
Sorry about the delay, KP. Thanks a lot for your wonderful comment.
DeleteI took a break from blogging due to some personal reason. But I knew that letting my site sit idle for a month could be brutal...All the pics/images have been deleted from this page. I tried to change the settings...but, there's a lot more to be done...
Testing ....
I definitely liked it. A pick-me-up poem for a tired evening read.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed reading, G L Meisner. Thanks for being here :)
DeleteGreat lines to celebrate His omnipresence ... :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Maniparna! :)
Deletelovely lines mam
ReplyDeletebut god is in us all , dont we say that .. so the world in a mess shows How we are .. A MESS ourself .. so if we all get together and sort ourself out .. the world will surly be a better place to live in without the chaos and mess
Bikram
I'll always testify to God's love for me and the world even when we are imperfect. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but we can celebrate our love for God as much as we can just as with others and theirs.
