His Flute ~

The poem led me to a new awareness as the words flowed naturally onto the page..---However, it’s a fictitious spiritual journey!

Under starry sky, drones of flute
break out... tearing the sounds of crickets
i step out clutching my flute
Sit down in an allée of
    low and shady trees; undulated
               with insights and impressions…
The south-western breeze wafts in
                   the fragrances of Jasmines,
        Gerbera, Lilies, and Marigolds
           Burn like incense around me
Gaunt trees stare; moon strolls by
pearling the air- stretching, smiling, lazy…
                 I linger on- offering obeisance
                       to my transcendental love
           Surrendering myself,
i drift towards His Lotus feet
Nothing...absolutely nothing can control me
like a stream in the monsoon, I keep coiling
 into a whirlpool- until awakened
                     by exuberant chanting of
                 …’ Krishna', Krishna' krishna...
                          Echoes magnify-  I feel breathless
As I see my blue God
                     Clad in bright yellow
Effulgent in rays of sapphire –
With a peacock feather on crown
                                 Smiling in brilliant insouciance
                             Playing His flute of delight!

Blue-God Krishna...

The Magic is in believing without having to see. Not everything can be seen or touched… Best things in life are only felt :-) ‘Janamashtami’ is Krishna’s birthday and we’ll be celebrating Krishna’s birth tomorrow..♥
