Buoyant Heart~

On an airplane trip- thunder reverberates
The aircraft encounters turbulence
You see the wings tilting up and down
The ensuing danger breaks peace
Slowly the turbulence settles
You realize, sinister clouds ultimately evaporate
The distraught mind needs calming
In shadows lurk dangers, so does chance!

  1. A lovely and mysterious poem, how true during turbulence, "the distraught mind needs calming".

  6. Very meaningful poem. Loved the parallel drawn between the turbulent mind and the aircraft caught in turbulence.
Yes, sinister clouds ultimately eveporate. But what effect they leave depends on how hard the weather was ..

  15. I’ve received so many kind comments – more than I can keep up with. Writing thank-yous is really important to me, but my capacity to do so is falling due to erratic internet connectivity. But, I must convey my thanks to all of you who have written in: please know that I've read your words and that beyond moving me deeply, they've inspired me. I feel so humbled and grateful for all this support from so many perfect poets.
