Ecstatic Layers Of Ice

The chick stays on the parent's feet, warm in their pouch

penguins; morning glory
a haze hangs over the colony
wobbly toes oft-tilt; dizzy

whiskered seals feed
pack their bellies with flakes
scrimshawed ice-bed

dancing in skates
upon the dry, cold canvas of glass
 sketch made in winter

This Haiku is shared with Carpe Diem - Usurai (Thin Ice).

This reminds me of a chapter I read in class 4,
Penguins- they hop on the ice with their black jackets on ,holding the hands of their fellow friends and diving into the chill cold waters.
